Interaction

The word Interaction is taken from the word Interact which means to act together or towards others or with others (WordReference.com English Dictionary)
This was an interesting topic that was discussed by the whole class. When I began to make my own observations I deduced that interaction brings you out of your comfort zone sometimes out of what you are normally used to. We have become accustomed to a society that generally does not talk with strangers so I was told when growing up. When I get on a train or a bus, I’m looking for a corner where I would not be disturbed, I have automatically cut off any chance of interaction.

During the course of my research on names I took pictures of a bottle of water with the different sides, while showing the pictures to one my tutors attention was drawn to the name on the bottle - Buxton. I then decided to find out what it meant, the word actually referred to a place, although there was no direct definition the history surrounding the word was equally interesting.

(In AD 70 the Roman Legions marched into Buxton. They built a fort and called the settlement Aquae Arnemetiae. Buxton is one of only two Romano-British towns whose name was prefixed with the word 'Aquae', the Latin for 'waters' (the other is Aquae Sulis - modern Bath), so it is clear the Romans enjoyed the warm spring they found here. Through the years medieval pilgrims frequently visited the area to 'take the waters' as did Mary, Queen of Scotts.By the 1800's, Buxton had become the most fashionable Spa in Europe.Sadly, in the 1930's interest in Spas generally began to fade and outside of Buxton little happened to the water for almost 40 years. By the 1970's less than 600,000 bottles of Buxton a year were being produced, and distribution was minimal. There was a significant change in 1987 when Buxton Natural Mineral Water was bought by Perrier UK, and under Perrier's guardianship and guidance, the Brand began to flourish. A new bottling plant was built above the source and production increased rapidly. In 1993 the Perrier Group, which included Buxton, was acquired by Nestlé Waters UK. The Buxton plant is one of the most technologically advanced in Europe and Buxton is the No 1 natural mineral water Brand in Britain.
